Zamfara State government has denied the recent stories circulating the social media that, the Governor has snubbed the Minister for Humanitarian Affairs Sadiya Umar Faruk from flagging off of the conditional cash transfer programme in the state which was scheduled for Sunday.
In a statement signed by the Special Adviser on Public Enlightenment Media and Communications to Governor Matawalle Malam Zailani Bappa noted that, contrary to the wrong insinuation, the Minister who is an indigene of Zamfara State was well received by the Governor and she was given all the deserving reception while in the state.

Mr Bappa described the stories credited to the Ministry for Humanitarian Affairs accusing the state government of rejecting the minister as unfair hence the Governor was only informed that, the Minister has left for Abuja without carrying out the function.
On the issue of insecurity cited by the Minister as reason for the postponment of the programme, Mr Bappa noted that, the effort put in place by the current administration of Bello Matawalle in reducing the spate of insecurity in the state has yeilded positive result hence normalcy has been restored in the majority parts of the state.
“Zamfara State Government wishes to categorically state that the level of insecurity in the state has never prevented any function, for government or private since the inception of this administration one year ago” Bappa added.
