Zamfara state government has earmarked the sum of N20b Naira for funding security operations in the 2023 appropriation estimate.
Governor Bello Matawalle stated this during the formal presentation of 2023 appreciation estimate on the floor of the state House of Assembly on Thursday.
The Governor also stated that “to enable us to respond to humanitarian challenges arising from banditry and related crimes, we are devoting the sum of N10,800,000,000.00 for humanitarian services”.
“In the same vein, we have made a substantial allocation for the education subsector to the tune of N21,265,000,000.00 Health receives N18,424,000,000.00. Furthermore, agriculture is allocated the sum of N4,867,000,000”.
He added that his administration has earmarked the sum of N8,300,000,000.00 for provision of relief materials to the victims of armed bandit activities.
