Katsina State Governor Aminu Bello Masari has approved the termination of the appointments of some strategic individuals with immediate effect.
The decision came barely two days after the conduct of the February 25th 2023 Presidential and National Assembly elections which was conducted nationwide.
Those affected include Hon. Tasiu Dahiru Dan Dagoro the Commissioner for Works, Housing and Transport, Hon. Yusuf Bormo the Chairman of Katsina State Pilgrims Welfare Board as well as Aminu Waziri the Permanent Secretary Ministry for Agriculture and Natural Resources.
The only woman involved in the decision was Hajiya Fatima Ahmed Permanent Secretary of Sustainable Development Goals.
According to the Press Release signed by the Secretary to the Katsina State Government, Hon. Muntari Lawal dated Monday the 27th of February 2023, the affected political and public office holders are expected to hand over the affairs of their respective offices to their Permanent Secretaries or Senior Directors.
The letter further reads that the decision was taken to allow for the government to make strategic adjustments and realignment.
