Former Governor of Zamfara and Senator elect for Zamfara West Abdulaziz Yari Abubakar has donated (32) trucks of assorted food items for distribution to the Internally Displaced Persons in various parts of Zamfara state.
This was the second time the senator elect will be distributing these types of gesture to these categories of less privilege people in the state.
Chairman of Zamfara circle a non-governmental organization saddled with the responsibility of distributing the food items Dr. Aminu Lawal Tsafe called on the people of Zamfara State to monitor the distribution exercise and report to the leadership any act wrongdoing as a mean of ensuring transparency and accountability in the process.
He also warned the public to desist from linking the exercise with any political inclination noting that, the circle will remain apolitical in its dealing; hence the Senator has said it laud and clear that he has not donated the food items for any political reasons.
“The Circle calls on other well-meaning individuals to, in the spirit of the blessed month of Ramadan to also donate and help alleviate the suffering of the IDPs” the statement added.
