The Governor of Plateau State, Mr. Caleb Mutfwang has alleged that, former President Muhammad Buhari has traded the future of Nigeria before handing over the country to President Bola Ahmad Tinubu.
The Governor who stated this during the swearing in of 22 new Special Advisers insisted that the former President has destroyed the future of this country and left behind a dead economy for his predecessor.
He alleged that the extent of the destruction of the Nigerian economy under Buhari as a President has reached a bad stage that the administration is left with the last option of printing money in trillion sums and share to states and local governments.
“This government inherited an economy where we simply printed money up to N30tr and share”.
He stated further that even though the federal government of Nigeria is led by another party not that of the PDP, Tinubu inherited the worst economy ever since 1999.
“we inherited a situation whereby the crude oil yet to be tapped from the ground has been sold by the Buhari administration”.
“If you talk about the fall of the naira it’s not a rocket science, we have sold our future under the last administration”.
“No wonder, you are hearing of riot today, people intercepting food in the way. We are lucky on the Plateau today that we have more food than may other states”.
“I pray that time would not come on the Plateau where people would riot for food but it seems government must roll up our sleeves and get to work”.
