One of the popular Zamfara state Islamic clerics, Liman Hassan Mada was killed by some suspected armed bandits Tuesday evening.
According to a source, the bandits earlier invaded Mada weekly market and pursued some innocent public before they later returned and picked the Islamic cleric to unknown destination.
This medium was reliably informed that the bandits took away the cleric to the outskirt of Mada and allegedly slaughtered him.
His funeral prayer was scheduled for 11:00am Wednesday (tomorrow) in his country home, Mada.
The killing of the Islamic cleric came barely less than forty-eight hours after a deadly attack launched against innocent travelers along Kucheri-Magazu one of the federal highway linking Zamfara State with the neighboring Katsina state.
It was also during that similar time when another attack was launched against innocent commuters along Danbaza-Maradun.
Zamfara police spokesperson could not be reached for comment as at the time of filing this report.
