The funeral prayers of the three members of Zamfara Community Protection Guards (CPG) were conducted in Gummi one of the local government councils in Zamfara on Thursday the 2nd day of July 2024.
They were reported to have lost their lives after an encounter with the suspected armed bandits along Gummi border with Bukkuyum local government area of Zamfara state.
The names of the deceased are Dan-Ige Gambanda, Abubakar Abule Gamo and Lawali Dan House Gummi.
Bukkuyum local government which borders Gummi is one of the areas devastatingly affected by the armed bandits criminalities in Zamfara.
One of the state lawmakers representing Bukkuyum was on the BBC Hausa services this morning where he sought for urgent intervention of the Federal Government against armed bandit’s criminality ravaging his people.
Report coming from Bukkuyum indicated that the majority of the villages under the local government are under the siege of the murderous armed bandits who have been terrorizing the innocent people of the area
