The publicity Secretary of the All Progressive Congress, Mal. Yusuf Idris Gusau has affirmed that the leadership of the party under Tukur Umar Danfulani remains intact and enjoying the goodwill of all concern stakeholders in the state.
Mal. Yusuf in a statement accused one of the stakeholders of the party as the architect of the crisis rocking the state chapter of the party in the state for his selfish political agenda.
He noted that the steps taken by the Zonal Vice Chairman of the party in charge of the Zamfara West Isiyaka Ajiya Anka and four other state executive members by declaring themselves as the caretaker committee executives as something that is illegal and not known to the law.
He accused them of turning over a commercial shop and painted it as their factional secretariat and allowed themselves to be inaugurated by a former Tsafe local government council chairman Ali Abubkar Tsafe someone they also accused of being an ordinary card-carrying member of the APC.
“These flagrant abuse of the party can no longer be condoned, and the APC under the chairmanship of Hon. Tukur Umar Danfulani in the state and the leadership of the Hon. Minister of State for Defence, Dr. Bello Mohammed Matawalle having done everything to ensure unity and fairness among members”.
He also noted that the party under the leadership of Tukur Umar Danfulani has the full backing of Sen. Yarima, Abdul Aziz Yari former Governor Mahmuda Shinkafi and host of other party supporters
“We are aware that the action and activities of this group of mischief-makers is part of a grand plan to break the ranks of the APC and its good chances of continuity from the national level down to the states” the statement added.
“The presidency and the national secretariat of our great party are aware of these people who had plotted and failed both in the 2019 and 2023 elections”.
“As they plan to hatch another bad one ahead of the 2027 elections, they should be informed that we are fully ready for them and the party they intend to float, which certainly cannot match the APC”.
