Dr. Asue Ighodalo, the Peoples Democratic Party’s (PDP) candidate for governor, has declared he will win handily. He expressed confidence in his ability to connect with voters and address their needs effectively. Dr. Ighodalo’s campaign promises focus on improving infrastructure, healthcare, and education in the state.
At his polling place, Unit 3, Ward One, Idinrio Vocational Centre, Okaegben-Ewohimi in the Esan Southeast Local Government Area, he had an interview with reporters.
He praised the military for ensuring sufficient security during the election.
Ighodalo, who was joined by his spouse Ifeyinwa and younger brother Pastor Ituah Ighodalo of Trinity House, Lagos, said that the election was peaceful, proceeding without a hitch, and had a high turnout based on reports from PDP leaders, members, and coordinators throughout Edo.
