Former Senator that represented Zamfara Central Kabiru Garba Marafa has sent a message of commiseration to the people of Zauma in Bukkuyum and part of Shinkafi local government areas of Zamfara state.
Sen. Marafa in a statement by Mansur Haroon the Director General of the Marafa social media team said, he has commiserated with members of the community protection guards (Askarawa) and conventional security operatives that were killed in the armed bandit attacks.
“The rising insecurity in Zamfara State is a worrisome situation that demands collective action. Security is paramount in every aspect of human endeavor, and no leader can claim victory or achievement without ensuring the safety of his citizens” part of the statement added.
“It is imperative that the three arms of government put aside their political differences and work together to address this menace”.
“Unfortunately, some politicians have approached the security situation in Zamfara State with irresponsibility”
“As a seasoned politician and former Senator, Senator Marafa’s warnings about banditry in Zamfara State were previously dismissed as mere politics. However, the consequences of ignoring these warnings are now manifesting”.
“On behalf of his supporters across Zamfara State and beyond, including his Political Chairman, Alhaji Surajo Garba Mai Katako, Senator Kabir Garba Marafa prays that Almighty Allah brings an end to this disaster and restores absolute peace and economic prosperity to the good people of Zamfara State”.
