The executive chairman Zamfara State Board of Internal Revenue Service Ali Akilu Dama Bungudu has disassociated himself from posters and stickers that went viral on social media demanding for the political actors to consider him worthy of nomination for the post of Senator representing Zamfara Central.
According to a statement personally signed by the Chairman he said the news came to his notice that customized stickers and political posters have gone viral on social media promoting his senatorial candidature for Zamfara Central.
“I want to restate that, I neither asked nor support any person or group of persons to embark on such agitations”.
Dama said he has stand by his earlier media briefing that his job for now is that of assisting the Governor in the aspect of revenue generation and since that is what the Governor delegated him to do he is satisfied by it.
“I hereby distanced myself from the agitation as I gave emphasis on the assignment saddled on me by His Excellency the Executive Governor”.
“However, I thank all our political allies within the party and beyond for identifying me worthy of the position”.
“I equally appeal to them to halt such posts and publications and refer the matter to my boss His Excellency the Executive Governor to decide our fate. We have no choice than his own, and we are ready to go by his instructions under all circumstances”.
