The Chairman of All Progressive Congress Zamfara State Tukur Umar Danfulani has charged the state leadership of Miyetti Allah Cattle Breeders Association to strengthen mechanisms of educating their members about the historical antecedent of Fulani people and their contribution to the socio-economic development of Nigeria.
The Chairman who stated this when he received the leadership of MACBAN who paid him a courtesy visit in his office said, it was disheartening that some people have deliberately or by act of mistake been tagging Fulani ethnic race as terrorists.
Danfulani who stated that there are criminals in all the ethnic tribes in Nigeria explained further that it is the responsibility of the leadership of MACBAN to rise to the occasion and sensitize their members, especially those involved in the armed bandit activities to denounce and reunite back to their members of the family.
He thanked the leadership of the association for the visit and promised to continue to carry them along in the discharge of the party programmes.
Earlier, in his speech, leader of the MACBAN in the state, Alhaji Ahmad Hussaini Matawallen Tudun-Wada said they were at the party secretarial to declare their loyalty to the Bello Matawalle-led administration and also extend the same solidarity to the Tukur Danfulani leadership of the APC.
He declared that his members are impressed with the leadership style of Tukur Danfulani and promised to working hand in hand in ensuring that the party has succeeded.
According to the statement by the APC spokesperson in Zamfara Mal. Yusuf Idris Gusau, while thanking the party for the warmed reception accorded them, the leader of the association promised to take down all that was discussed to the door steps of other members across the entire state.
