Governor Bello Matawalle has approved the recruitment of (515) health workers under the state hospital services management board.
According to statement by the executive Chairman of the HSMB Dr. Bashir Maru, the staff to be recruited are going to cut across both clinical and non-clinical.
Maru said by law the board is responsible for the management of health care service delivery including provision of staff to the (22) secondary health care facilities (General Hospitals).
He called on eligible candidates with the requisite qualifications to kindly apply for positions of Medical Doctors, Nurses/Midwives, Pharmacy Technicians, X-ray Technicians and Medical Laboratory Technicians.
Other positions include, Medical Records Technicians, Dental Technicians, Drivers, Wards Servants, Compound Labourers, Security Guards & Others.
On the aspect of requirements for medical and dental officers Dr. Maru said, applicants must possessed MBBS degree or its equivalent from recognized institution, Registration with the Medical and Dental Council of Nigeria, Valid License to Practice as well as NYSC Discharge/ Exemption Certificate.
As for the Nursing/Midwives cadre Maru said candidates must possessed Nursing Certificate from an approved institution (BNSC will be an added advantage), registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Council of Nigeria, valid license to Practice as well as NYSC discharge/exemption certificate if applicable.
Those applying for the post of pharmacy technician, Maru said they must possessed evidence of completion of an approved technician training from a recognized institution, registration with the Pharmaceutical Council of Nigeria and also a valid Permit to practice.
As for those applying for X-RAY TECHNICIAN cadre candidate must possessed evidence of completion of an approved technician training from a recognized institution, registration with the Radiographers Registration Board of Nigeria and a valid Permit to Practice.
As for medical laboratory technicians candidates must possessed evidence of completion of an approved technician training from a recognized institution, registration with the Medical Laboratory Council of Nigeria and a valid permit to practice.
Those applying for medical record technician cadre candidate must possessed evidence of completion of an approved technician training from a recognized institution, registration with the Health Information Registration Board of Nigeria and also a valid permit to practice.
As for those applying for dental technician cadre, Maru said candidates must possessed evidence of completion of an approved technician training from a recognized institution, registration with the Dental Therapists Registration Board of Nigeria and valid permit to practice.
Those applying for the post of drivers the statement said they must possessed minimum of school certificate and valid driver’s license.
As for applying for ward servants compound labourers, security guards and others Maru said, they must possessed minimum of school certificate and certificate of physical fitness.
He added that application forms can be downloaded via the portal created by the board with details as https://zamfarahsmb.com.ng/ or https://imranmaj7.wixsite.com/zshsmb and the form is to be filled and submitted at the Hospital Services Management Board; B2/C1 Millennium Housing Estate (Old Commissioners’ Quarters), along Sokoto-Gusau-Funtua Bypass Road, Gusau.
He added that the opening date for the exercise is Monday, 28th February, 2022 and it would be closed on Monday, 14th March, 2022.
He added that, no application would be accepted after the closing date and noted that only candidates shortlisted will be contacted for the computer based test and oral Interview.
