The leadership of Zamfara Circle initiative said it is ready to receive donation of assorted food items from the former Governor of Zamfara Abdulazeez Yari Abubakar for distribution to the Internally Displaced Persons across the state.
According to the statement by the Chairman of the organization Dr. Aminu Lawal Tsafe, the circle promised to conduct the distribution exercise with all sense of inclusion, fairness, and justice.
But the Chairman stated that the exercise will be executed by the union on the condition that it shall be meant for humanitarian purpose only and that the food items must be handed over to the members of Zamfara circle directly.
He assured that the circle will be open to monitoring, but will not accept any interference in the distribution process, as there will be a template to be used for the exercise.
He also said as part of the tradition the circle will be releasing regular update to the members of the public on the number of the food items received through the circle’s social media platforms especially it’s Twitter handle (#ZCIDPsRAMADAN2022)
The circle further said to ensure transparency, the modalities, and criteria for distribution to various LGAs within the state and all other arrangements will be communicated in due course using above mediums earlier provided.
“Zamfara Circle enjoins all to assist the less privileged among us in this blessed month of Ramadan, our doors are always open to any individual or group of people willing to collaborate with us in this regard”.
