Suspected gunmen invaded the private residence of Zamfara former Accountant General Alh Abubakar Bello Furfuri in Furfuri town on Sunday night and abducted his three wives.
According to a source, they came to the town around 11;30pm and started shooting sporadically before accessing the house of the former AG.
It was learned that, the former Accountant General who was in the house as at the time of the attack fled out of the home successfully while the gunmen succeeded in moving with his three wives.
One of the wives was left by the bandits according to the source while seven other children and relations of the former Accountant General were also kidnapped.
Our source also reported that, the bandits launched the attack without using vehicles or motorcycles, as they were seen moving with the abductees bear-footed.
He also informed this medium that, two hours after the attack, two military Hilux Vans were deployed to the town for patrol.
As at the time of filing this report, our source said, the where about of the former AG was not known after his escape from the bandits attack that night.
