The Director General, Zamfara State Chamber of Commerce, Industry, Mines and Agriculture, Alhaji Lawal Muhammad (Janjunan Tsafe) has been relieved of his appointment.
The decision followed an emergency executive Council meeting of the chamber held few days back in Gusau the state capital.
According to the statement by the Spokesperson of the Chamber Jamilu Ibrahim Gusau, Janjuna was removed as after the executives of the chamber led by their Chairman Alh Bashar Mai Anguwa deliberated on the report of the report of the committee that investigated the allegations of gross misconduct labelled against the embattled DG which he was eventually found indicted.
“The Executive Members hence Unanimously approved the immediate dismissal of the DG, Alhaji Lawal Muhammad Tsafe”.
“President of ZACCIMA Alhaji Bashar Maianguwa said the decision was taken in the best interest of the Chamber and Zamfara State as a whole” Jamilu added.
The statement warned that henceforth, whoever transacts with the dismissed DG in the name of ZACCIMA does it at their peril.
Meanwhile, the ZACCIMA Executive Members have also Unanimously approved the appointment of Mansur Shehu Anka as the new Director General of the Chamber with immediate effect.
Until his new appointment, Mansur Anka was the Deputy Director General of the Organization.
It would be recalled that the dismissed DG was earlier suspended some times last year.
