Zamfara PDP has suffered another “political plane crash” as it loses another set of aspirants of state assembly, eight of them for that matter.
The development came at a very critical time when the PDP is launching its gubernatorial campaign at Kaura Namoda local government area of the state.
The defectors were received by the Governor of Zamfara state Bello Muhammed Matawalle in company of the State APC Chiarman Tukur Umar Danfulani at the state government house Gusau on Monday.
The Governor who expressed gratitude to Allah for their decision to join the winning team assured that the politicians would be carried along in promoting the spirit of party progress and development.
One of the defectors who spoke during the interface said PDP in Zamfara has been under diminishing status, hence the majority of its supporters are becoming demoralized with the development within the party.
He said the party in Zamfara is not concern about the plight of their members, and it only pays attention to the interest of the defectors who joined the party for money making venture.
He stated that no one in the Zamfara PDP is carried along on matters of the progress of the party; hence the gubernatorial candidate has turned the party into his personal business empire.
Another defector said, “we had been running the affairs of the PDP with our pocket money and since before Dauda Lawal joined our party we had been working in unity but now that he has joined the party he has succeeded in creating disunity between the old and new members”.
