GOV. BELLO MATAWALLE DONATES EIGHTEEN SEATER BUS, PLOT OF LAND TO NATIONAL ASSOCIATION OF PROPRIETORS OF PRIVATE SCHOOLS

As part of his concern to strengthen partnership with the operators of the private schools in Zamfara, Governor Bello Matawalle has announced the donation of eighteen seater bus and plots of land to the members of the National Association of Proprietors of Private Schools in Zamfara state.

In addition, he pledged to carry them along on matters related to the development of education in Zamfara state.

The Governor who was speaking when he received the National Board of Trustee of the association who paid him a courtesy call at the state government house Gusau on Monday expressed happiness with the contribution of private school operators in the development of education in the state.

The Governor also thanked the association for the the Ambassador’s award conferred on him and promised to do more to justify the confidence reposed on him.

Earlier, Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the association Dr. Mijin Yawa insisted that, the national leadership of the association are well-informed about the effort of the state government of Zamfara led by Bello Matawalle in the area of transformation of education adding that such credit has become a morale boost for the association to extend a hand of partnership with the state government.

He said the association has decided to award the Governor with the 2022 Ambassador’s Award to boost his morale and encourage him to do more so that together education can be lifted to a very formidable stage.

They thanked the Governor for the support and promised to do more to support the government of Zamfara at all time.

On his part, the State Chairman of the Association Dr. Tukur Madawakin Bungudu stated that the association has over 300,000 students across all levels as well as 18,000 members of staff involving academic and non-academic.

SEN. YARI DONATES (13) TRUCKS OF MAIZE TO PEOPLE OF TALATAR MAFARA

Former Governor of Zamfara state and Senator representing Zamfara West, Hon. Dr. Abdulaziz Yari Abubakar (Shattiman Zamfara) has secured (13) trucks of Maize containing (3900) bags for distribution to his immediate community of Talatar Mafara.

The distribution is to be handled by the (11) man committee headed by Malam Hamza Abubakar.

A total of 68 communities consisting of 21,075 households will benefit with a total of 3900 bags of Maize.

According the chairman, the beneficiaries cut across religious devices as instructed by the donor Abdulaziz Yari Abubakar.

According to the committee Chairman, former Governor Yari has considered the social condition of the people emanating from the removal of fuel subsidy by the current administration.

He assured that, the committee will be just and fair in the discharge of their duties.

He called on people to give them maximum support and cooperation in the discharged of their duty in order to achieve the desire success.

(31) PEOPLE DIES, (274) SUSTAIN INJURIES IN ADAMAWA ROAD CRASHES.

The Federal Road Safety Corp Adamawa state command has revealed that a total of (31) people died as a result of various road crashes within the state.

The statistics also showed that, a total of (274) people also sustained various degree of injuries as a result of the road crashes.

The Adamawa sector command also recorded (126) various road crashes involving (548) passengers within the period under review.

The statistics covered a period of January to July 2023.

The sector commandant of the state, Mr. Yelwa Dio when he interacted with the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN).

He attributed the road crashes to over-loading, over speeding and making telephone calls while driving.
