The conduct of supplementary election at the 14 poling units in Bakura went crime free as voters were allowed free access to the voting centers and cast their votes.
In most of the poling units visited by this medium in Bakura town heavy security presence has been noticed as armed mobile police men, members of Security and Civil defense Corp, and other sister security operatives were adequately deployed.
Agents of Peoples Democratic Party PDP, that of All Progressive Grand Alliance APGA and those from other political parties were seen around in most of the poling centers.
In all the poling centers visited we have not seen any agent of the All Progressive Congress APC an indicator that shows that they have actually boycotted from the election.
On Tuesday the All Progresive Congress APC in Zamfara through its Spoke Person Ibrahim Birnin Magaji announced its decision of withdrawing from the supplementary election on the basis of lack of assurance for the safety of their teeming supporters.
Despite the fact that APC which is the major contender in the race has withdrawn, this medium gathered that, some political parties paid between 2000 to N5000 to voters before casting their votes.
According Bilya Sani a voter interviewed at Yarsauki poling unit (017) said, he and many others surrendered their voter cards to the party agents after they were paid N5000 with a promise that, they will be issued one single wrapper or brocade after the result was announced.
