Some suspected hired killers invaded the private resident of the Chief Security Officer (CSO) to Zamfara State Governor and attempted to set him and his family ablazed.
According to a confided source, he said the hired killers are allegedly suspected to be sponsored by the opposition All Progressive Congress who are in neck battle with the State Police Command over the arrest of some of their members.
Narrating the incident to Thunder blowers the source said, they broke in to the house of the Chief Security Officer (CSO) in Gusau around 3:00am while he and his family were at sleep on Sunday and started rejigging the door.
When the CSO realised that, there is a stringent movement within his house he asked who was that, and they replied him that, “we were sent to killed you”.
He said after breaking at the entry door of the house, they removed the gas slinder attached to the kitchen and attempted to blown it up.
The source added that, luckily for the CSO he has a pistol with him and instantly fired a shot at one of the suspects and hit his right hand before all of them shouted “he owns a gun” and they run out of the house outrightly.
Confirming the incident, Zamfara State Police Command Public Relations Officer SP Shehu Muhammad confirmed the incident and explained that, investigation in to the attempted murder has since commenced.
