Former Senator representing Zamfara West, Ahmad Sani Yariman Bakura said unless Nigerian leaders can fight poverty and illiteracy and also stop looting from the public treasury, Nigerian problems may not end soonest.
Yarima who stated this in an interview with the BBC Hausa service, expressed surprise that many Governors end their respective tenures with the records of looting billions of naira from the public treasury without anything to show as per what they have done to their people.
On the recent removal of the EFCC Chairman Abdulrashid Bawa, Yarima said there are people who are out to ensure that the government of Bola Ahmad Tinubu has failed, but noted that people need to give him time before they started making criticisms of his government.
He emphasized that people need to pray for Tinubu and his government, especially considering the fact that his government is just a month older since its inauguration.
