A total of 89,615 registered voters are expected to decide on who emerged as the new member of the state house of assembly representing Bakura constituency in the December 5th 2020 scheduled bye election.
The voters are registered under 10 political ward with a total of 114 polling units and (9) voting points respectively.
This is as disclosed by the Zamfara State INEC Resident Electoral Commissioner Mrs Asmau Maikudi during a Press briefing in Gusau the state capital on Wednesday.
The Commissioner stressed that, no voter will cast his vote without a face mask hence the use of face mask has become a national policy.
“All voters should make provision for their face mask before arriving at their polling units hence no one would be allow to vote without wearing a face marsk” the Commissioner stressed.
She noted that, all eligible voters in Bakura will be allowed to vote, however, those with COVID-19 symptoms will be evacuated by medical personnel to be provided by the INEC.
The Resident Electoral Commissioner who reiterated that INEC will conduct credible election urged all stakeholders especially the voters, political parties, the media and all concerns to cooperate with the commission with a view achieving the desired result.
