At the continuation of hearing in respect of the suite instituted against Abdulmalik Zubairu Zannan Bungudu by Abdulrahaman Muhammad Tumbido plaintiff’s counsel Barr. Kabiru Muhammad presented two witnesses for cross-examination by the defense team.
The two witnesses presented include Muhammad Magaji Shatiman Bingi and Ibrahim Alh. Usman and they were crossexamined on the conduct of the party primaries, accreditation, as well as allegation of molestation of party agents of the plaintiff by some political thugs.
One of the witness Shatiman Bingi specifically under cross-examination told the court that, though his principal Abdulrahaman Tumbido participated in the primaries, the election was not conducted in his opinion because it has not followed due process.
After cross-examination, the plaintiff’s counsel asked the court to fix another date for him to assemble all his witnesses.
The judge adjourned the matter to 15th of August 2022 for continuation of hearing.
Abdulrahaman Tumbido was an aspirant that participated at the APC primary election for Maru/Bungudu Federal constituency.
He filed a suite challenging what he termed as irregularities during the poll.
