Operatives of the Nigerian army have succeeded in rescuing (20) abductees who were abducted along Shinkafi forest.
The rescue of the abductees was perfected during a special operation by the operatives of the Nigerian army under Operation Sharan Daji on Thursday.
Among the abductees rescued include three children, fifteen male adults and two women and the majority of who were kidnapped at various locations in Zamfara and part of Sokoto state.
One of the female abductees, Mal. Rbi Kaura was kidnapped a week after she was married to her husband and she was (29) years old according to her revelations.
She told journalists that she was kidnapped a week after she was married to her husband and that the kidnappers invaded their house while she and her husband were sleeping and while the husband ran to avoid abduction by the bandits, she became a victim of the circumstance, and she was eventually trapped in the forest.
A reliable source stated that, some abductees spent up to between (22) to (53) days in captivity while over twenty armed kidnappers had been stationed to take charge of them.
It was also stated that, some abductees were rescued by the operatives of the Nigerian army while the operatives of the Nigerian Army intensified bombing of hideouts of one of the renowned bandit leader Bello Turji.
It was confirmed that a dime was not paid by the abductees before they released, even though a request of N2M was made as ransom earlier than the recent bombing of the hideouts in Shinkafi.
