FMR. ZAMFARA SSG PROF WALIN SHINKAFI DIES

Former Secretary to Zamfara State Government under the second tenure of former Governor Abdulaziz Yari Abubakar Prof. Abdullahi Muhammad Walin Shinkafi has been announced dead.

This is contained in a public announcement placed on the social media by his family members, copy obtained by this medium.

Details of his death were not formally issued to the press, but the family members announced that his funeral prayer will be held at the Abuja Central mosque at 4:00pm on Sunday the 25th of June 2023.

He is survived by two wives, both of whom are professors currently working at the University of Abuja and many children.

The former SSG was formally a Professor Forestry at the famous Usman Danfodio University Sokoto before he retired and joined full time politics

Late Prof. Shinkafi served as the Director General under the tenure of former Governor Ahmad Sani Yariman Bakura, Managing Director of Zamfara Mass Transit under the tenure of former Governor Mahmuda Shinkafi and Commissioner Ministry for Religious Affairs under the first tenure of former Governor Yari.

On the second coming of former Governor Yari he made him to serve as the Secretary to the Zamfara state government.

His last assignment was the Secretary of the APC gubernatorial campaign council in Zamfara.

Former Governor of Zamfara state and Senator representing Zamfara West, Hon. Dr. Abdulaziz Yari Abubakar (Shattiman Zamfara) has secured (13) trucks of Maize containing (3900) bags for distribution to his immediate community of Talatar Mafara.

The distribution is to be handled by the (11) man committee headed by Malam Hamza Abubakar.

A total of 68 communities consisting of 21,075 households will benefit with a total of 3900 bags of Maize.

According the chairman, the beneficiaries cut across religious devices as instructed by the donor Abdulaziz Yari Abubakar.

According to the committee Chairman, former Governor Yari has considered the social condition of the people emanating from the removal of fuel subsidy by the current administration.

He assured that, the committee will be just and fair in the discharge of their duties.

He called on people to give them maximum support and cooperation in the discharged of their duty in order to achieve the desire success.

(31) PEOPLE DIES, (274) SUSTAIN INJURIES IN ADAMAWA ROAD CRASHES.

The Federal Road Safety Corp Adamawa state command has revealed that a total of (31) people died as a result of various road crashes within the state.

The statistics also showed that, a total of (274) people also sustained various degree of injuries as a result of the road crashes.

The Adamawa sector command also recorded (126) various road crashes involving (548) passengers within the period under review.

The statistics covered a period of January to July 2023.

The sector commandant of the state, Mr. Yelwa Dio when he interacted with the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN).

He attributed the road crashes to over-loading, over speeding and making telephone calls while driving.
