OVER (200) RESIDENTS OF TSIBIRI COMMUNITY IN ZAMFARA UNDER BANDIT’S CUSTODY: RESIDENTS LAMENT.

A resident of Tsibiri community in Maradun local government area of Zamfara state who doubled as Lecturer at the Federal Polytechnic Kaura Namoda Zamfara State Mr. Sulajman Sani has raised alarm that the security situation at Tsibiri community has deteriorated to a level that no one is certain about his safety any longer.

Mr. Sulaiman in a viral video on the social media said between Monday and Tuesday alone about (18) residents of Tsibiri community have been abducted by the criminal bandits.

He said as at now majority of the residents of Tsibiri no longer sleeps at home as many of them moved with their families to neighboring villages like Galadi, Kaura Namoda and Gusau due to the fear of the bandits.

He urged the government to work out measures of deploying more security agencies to address the lingering security challenges faced by the people of the community.

On behalf of the people if Tsibiri community, the academician further called on the Governor to do more by making arrangements to ensure that a permanent military base had been stationed along the area to help build the confidence of the people.

Adding into the narrative by the Polytechnic lecturer another residents of Tsibiri named Anas Umar Dalibi said his community of Tsibiri is the most unsecured place in Nigeria as bandits had for long enforced a directive on the people of Tsibiri not to even make use of public address system while conducting prayers.

He said, before now they used to have an APC operational vehicle before it was moved out of the location, noting that they have gone to the Commissioner of police visited to the state Deputy Governor on the need to get the APC vehicles returned to same Tsibiri but the effort failed.

He noted further that, currently there are over (200) residents of Tsibiri that are in bandits custody since when the community ordeal started.

Umar Dalibi said anyone who is in doubt about what is happening at Tsibiri village should get prepared to pay a visit to Tsibiri and see things for himself.

On his part, Alh Maihwara Tsibiri also added his voice into the matter by saying Tsibiri community had deserted and that the Governor should set aside politics and provide adequate security for their community.

He further said there are people of over (100) years that decided to come to Gusau and seek for help on behalf of the Tsibiri people.
