Former Governor of Zamfara Abdulaziz Yari Abubakar has appealed to the APC supporters in Gummi to redouble their votes for the governorship candidate of the APC Governor Bello Matawalle and all state assembly candidates in the forthcoming Saturday’s election.

Yari who made the appeal during a stakeholders meeting in Gummi on Sunday said the call became imperative considering the will at which APC has demonstrated in the transformation of the state since 1999.

Yari who expressed satisfaction with the level of support APC is still gaining in Gummi said he was not surprised with the massive votes cast for the party, noting that Gummi has been a strong base of the APC.

“You have cast over twenty thousand votes for the APC in the last election of the President and national assembly members, and now we are expecting over forty thousand votes for Governor Bello Matawalle and all other APC candidates we hope you will redouble your votes.” Yari urged.

On the issue of other unattended problems, Yari insisted that many promises were made but as God wishes and due to some economic challenges the promises were not fulfilled, noting that with Tinubu as the President and with APC having Senate President, Speaker, and majority more developmental projects would be executed to better the lives of Zamfara people.

“In 2015 we have put too much hope on Buhari thinking he can solve all our problems, but God in his wisdom has refused to get some of these problems solved and now that we have come back to our senses we commit to God to give us the savior and he has produced Bola Tinubu as the new President, and we are confident that God will give him the wisdom to deliver us from all the social and economic crises faced by the state”.

He assured the people of Gummi town that Governor Matawalle will do his possible best to redeem all the pledges made and transform Zamfara State as expected.
