The number of those abducted at Biyabiki village in Zamfara has raised to (56) as against (40) earlier reported.
An undisclosed source who provided update on the development at Biyabiki after the Wednesday’s attack said, additional (16) persons have been found missing, different from the forty earlier reported.
The source also informed this medium that, (16) persons have returned home after escaping from the bandit camp.
“After escaping from the hand of the bandits, they run to the bush and trekked for kilometers before they finally reached Danjibga community where they narrated their ordeal to Danjibga people. Communication was made to us, and we went and received them back home,” the source added.
He added that, so far, the bandits have demanded for the payment of (N30M) naira ransom before they release the abductees from captivity.
It could be recall that, last week Wednesday some suspected armed bandits invaded Biyabiki community around 10:00am and abducted women and children while the majority of the households were in their farms.
