Former administration of Governor Yari has been accused of using a company by name “Namuduka” Global Resources to divert the sum of over 3 billion naira in the name of supply of agricultural inputs to the (14) local government council areas.
The Chairman of the Local Government Projects Verification Committee Eng. Ibrahim Isah Mayana declared this when he featured in the Thunder Blowers TV show programme “Tiryan Tiryan” on Monday.
Mayana alleged that the company named Namuduka was paid over three billion naira through the Ministry for Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs but no record to show that those agricultural inputs were supplied and delivered to the local government councils areas.
He noted further that the contractor was equally invited severally to come and brief the committee but he has failed.
He also alleged that, all efforts to get documents related to the contracts have failed hence the committee has to be assisted by one patriotic staff of the Ministry for Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs who brought out the hidden documents for them informally.
On why the present administration could not stop the ongoing investigation and concentrate on governance of the state the Commissioner noted that, it was unfortunate the former Governor told the entire world that he has handed over the state without any debt only for the present administration to end up in discovering these mess and scandals noting that there is no way the immediate government could not investigated.
