Emir of Maradun Garba Muhammad Tambari has conferred traditional titles to three former Governors of Zamfara state namely: Ahmad Sani Yarima, Mahmuda Aliyu Shinkafi and Abdul’aziz Yari Abubakar.
The conferment of the titles was perfected when they paid a royal visit to the Emir in his Palace on Wednesday.
While Yariman Bakura bagged the title of Talban Maradun, Mahmuda Shinkafi was awarded the title of Dan Jekan Maradun and Abdulaziz Yari Abubakar was also conferred with the title of Janjunan Maradun.
The monarch said the conferment of the chieftaincy titles was in consideration of the commitment exhibited by the former Governors in the transformation of the state.
He reiterated that, people of Maradun would remain grateful for their commitment to rally round Bello Matawalle in his re-election bid.
Governor Bello Matawalle on behalf of the former Governors thanked the Monarch for honor and prayed for God almighty to reward the Emirate abundantly.
