Former Governor of Zamfara Abdulaziz Yari Abubakar has launched the distribution of 58,200 bags of assorted food items to supporters and other category of people with special needs.
Senator Kabiru Garba Marafa one of his political ally stood for the former Governor at the Flags off the distribution of the food items, and he was accompanied to the venue of the event situated along Bungudu-Gusau road by many other important dignitaries within the political movement of Yari.
According to the breakdown of the food items, there are (15,000) bags each of rice, millet, maize, and sugar to be distributed across 14 local government councils.
The breakdown further shows that, each of the thirteen local government areas are to receive (7.8) trucks of the assorted food items while Gusau the state capital is to receive (15.6) trucks.
The former Governor also allocated (47) trucks to Zamfara circle initiative for distribution to vulnerable person’s living in the Internally Displaced Camps.
He has also allocated (11) eleven trucks for distribution to the orphans across the fourteen local government areas of the state.
