Zamfara State Government has reaffirmed its readiness to partnering key ministries and agencies of the federal government aimed at creating economic and business opportunities to the people of the state.
State Deputy Governor Mahadi Aliyu stated this during an interaction with the officials of National Agricultural Land Development Authority, NALDA led by their Executive Secretary at the Authority’s headquarters in Abuja.
In a statement by the Director General Press Affairs of the Deputy Governor Babangida Umar Zurmi, Mahadi said the essence of his visit to NALDA was to strengthen synergy with the agency so that Zamfara people can rid of the benefit of some of its economic and agricultural policies and programmes which included poultry production, fisheries, rabbi try as well as training of people on modern soil testing techniques.
He assured that the administration will not relent in extending a hand of partnership with the local and international development partners in securing more opportunities for the people of Zamfara State.
He also directed the state ministry of agriculture to expedite action in formalizing its deed with NALDA for commencement of the implementation of its programmes in Zamfara State.
Speaking earlier, the Executive Secretary of National Agricultural Land Development Authority expressed appreciation to the state Deputy Governor for the visit describing it as timely.
He confirmed that with the spirit of political will exhibited by the current administration in Zamfara his agency will soon draw-down some beneficial programmes for domestication to the benefit of the local citizens in collaboration with the state ministry for agriculture.
The Deputy Governor was accompanied to the visit by the State Commissioner of Agriculture and Natural Resources Dr. Aminu Suleman ‘Yarkofoji and other principal officers in the Deputy Governor’s Office.
