Zamfara State government requires over N1 billion naira for the massive renovation of 23 secondary schools in the state
State Commissioner for Education Ibrahim Abdullahi Spirow disclosed this to newsmen in Gusau on Tuesday after an assessment visit to some of the secondary schools in the state.
He said that the visit was to enable him see things for himself and assess the state of facilities in the schools with a view to providing conducive learning environment for the pupils.
I have his mandate of the Governor to propose the best way to address the infrastructural deficit in all our public schools and I am all out to achieve this in order to make this administration proud.“
The Commissioner noted that, most of the existing school structures in the state have suffered neglect over the years, which had also contributed to poor teacher output and poor performance of students during internal and national examinations.
