Zamfara state government has expended over #2.9 billion naira for purchase of assorted food stuff and clothing materials for distributiion to the people of the state during the Ramadan and Sallah festive period
In a sallah broadcast to the people of the state, Governor Bello Mohammed Matawalle said also, 200 cows.were purchased and distributed to the workers.
He.explained that, the state government had provided clothes and food stuff to 40,000 orphans to enable the celebrate sallah festivals with relative ease.
Matawalle appealed to the people of the state to make best use of the lessons learnt from the Ramadan and consolidate for peace and harmony.
According to him, it is time to exhibit high level of maturity and perseverance and continue to promote peaceful coexistence.
On the recent banditry attacks on some communities in Tsafe local government, Matawalle said state government and security agencies have been strategeising to curb the reoccurrence of such attacks.
According to him, the remening miscreants who refused to embrace peace mission, should be ready to face security agencies.
He condemned the resurgence of banditry attacks, and promised to crush the remenants of the bandits.
