The NNPP Senatorial candidate for Zamfara North in the 2023 election Alh Ibrahim Son Allah Shinkafi has defected to the ruling All Progressive Congress.
He was received on behalf of the party by the Chairman Bello Matawalle Gubernatorial campaign Council former Governor of Zamfara Abdulaziz Yari Abubakar in Talatar Mafara on Sunday.
He was accompanied by the Special Adviser Government House Alh Musa Zubairu Nasarawar Mai Layi, State APC Chairman Tukur Umar Dan Fulani, Senator representing the Zone Sahabi Alh Ya’u and host of other politicians from the Zone.
The former NNPP Senatorial candidate who expressed satisfaction with the warm reception accorded him by the former Governor expressed commitment that APC is the best party to reckon with by any serious minded politician.
He said he will do his best to contribute to the success of the party and assured the former Governor that he and his supporters would remain resolved in promoting the manifestos of the party.
Yari thanked the politician for deciding to abandon the NNPP for the APC and assured him that he and his supporters would be carried along in deciding the affairs of the party.
