Governor Bello Matawalle has urged the commercial banks operating in Zamfara to provide soft loan to civil servants with a view to using the opportunity to construct befitting houses for their families.
The Governor stated this on Friday during the joint meeting with the officials of the CBN and operators of commercial banks in Zamfara state.
Matawalle said his administration has earmarked a virgin land where he is going to allocate lands to interested civil servants for construction of new “Economic City”, noting that the idea is to help civil servants owned befitting houses that they can stay with their families even after retirement from service.
He urged the operating commercial banks to provide the soft loan to any interested state civil servant so that the housing reform he has initiated can be achieved.
He thanked them for their support and continued cooperation to his administration and assured them of continued synergy with them at all time.
