Not fewer than seventeen (17) people were reported dead at Anguwan Wakili community of Zango Kataf local government area of Kaduna State.
According to the police spokesperson SP Muhammad Jalige, the attack was caused by some miscreants who attempted to cause breakdown of law and order.
He stated that, the joint effort of the police and other security agencies had helped rescue the situation as they wanted to take advantage of the crises to cause serious confusion in Kaduna State.
He noted that in order to restore the confidence of the people of the area, a 24 hour curfew has been enforced in the area to allow for restrictions of movements of the people.
