The editorial board of Thunder Blowers Multimedia Services, had written an FOI letter to the Special Adviser Finance and Economic Matters demanding for clarification on the alleged illegal removal of over (5, 000) civil servants on the state payroll.

The Managing Editor of the medium Dr. Anas Sani Anka personally transmitted the letter to the Special Adviser through the Permanent Secretary Ministry of Finance Aminu Gura Guri Shinkafi on Monday the 7th of August 2023.

Copies of the FOI Letters were also transmitted to the leadership of the NLC, TUC, office of the Head of Service, Secretary to the State Government and the Speaker.

The letter is making some definite inquiries as they related to the reasons for the illegal removal of names of some genuine civil servants from the state payroll, controversies surrounding the termination of the engagement of the consultant appointed by the previous administration, among other requests for information.

The medium awaits the official response of the Special Adviser within seven days, as provided for by the Freedom of Information Act 2021 (as amended).
