MATAWALLE RATED AS THE MOST CELEBRATED MINISTERIAL NOMINEE BY SENATORS

The immediate past Governor of Zamfara state, Bello Muhammad Matawalle was rated as the most celebrated ministerial nominee by the distinguished Senators of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.

Dressed in a normal Hausa regalia with a fitted locally made cap, Governor Bello Matawalle stood firmly before the distinguished senators to happily address them as ministerial nominee.

He took time to read through his resume and told the Senators his successful political journey up to the last assignment he held as the immediate past Governor of Zamfara state.

But the most interesting part of his outing was the moment when distinguished senators took the stage to speak about Matawalle as politician and lawmaker.

First to open the stage was the former Governor of Zamfara state Sen. Abdulaziz Yari Abubakar who moved a motion seeking for the consent of his colleagues senators to allow former Governor Bello Matawalle to take a bow and go.

Yari insisted that the political history of Bello Matawalle couple with his achievements and his level of sacrifice for Nigeria has earned him a permanent respect among millions of Nigeria.

After Yari it was the turn of the Senator representing Katsina Central Abdul Aziz Yar’adua who took time to explain the good political attributes of Bello Matawalle first as lawmaker and later executive Governor of Zamfara state.

He said the decision of Bello Matawalle to concede to the defeat in the 2023 election and allow democracy to proceed unaborted has made the former Governor of Zamfara to remain a political hero of the current generation.

He also insisted that, the level of contribution offered by Bello Matawalle in the development of legislative business, especially at the green chamber, has made him paid his supreme dues as legislator and former Executive Governor of Zamfara state.

He graciously seconded the motion moved by Sen. Abdul Aziz Yari asking for distinguished senators to allow the former Governor took a bow and go.

Sen. Kawu Sumaila from Kano took memory lane to recall the cordial and friendly working relationship that existed between himself, most of the senators and former Governor Bello Matawalle.

He described Matawalle as a genuine friend, experience legislator and powerful executive Governor who has done his best to change the narrative of many wrong things in both Zamfara and Nigeria as a whole.

He implored his friends to allow the former Governor to take a bow and go just the way Sen. Yari and Abdul Aziz Yar’adua had requested.

Deputy Senate President Sen. Barau Jibril and Sen. Ali Ndume also explore the good virtues and political maturity of former Governor Bello Matawalle whom they described as an active political icon whose political tentacle spread across the geopolitical horizons of Nigeria.

“The nominees before us is someone who has paid his dues through the national Assembly of this country. Bello Matawalle is a man of integrity and based on this I am mandated by the former members of the house of representatives who are in this Senate that former Governor Bello Matawalle should be allow the privilege of taking a  bow and go” Deputy Senate leader Sen. Barau Jibril stated

He was happily but continuously cheered by almost all the senators, including those from opposition parties who declared in a laudable voice that former Governor Matawalle should take a bow out of honor and go.

Himself self and his admirers accompanied him happily amidst joy out of the red chamber as Minister awaiting to take the oath of office and that of allegiance.

Congratulations to a political icon, Bello Matawallen Maradun Barden Kasar Hausa.

SEN. YARI DONATES (13) TRUCKS OF MAIZE TO PEOPLE OF TALATAR MAFARA

Former Governor of Zamfara state and Senator representing Zamfara West, Hon. Dr. Abdulaziz Yari Abubakar (Shattiman Zamfara) has secured (13) trucks of Maize containing (3900) bags for distribution to his immediate community of Talatar Mafara.

The distribution is to be handled by the (11) man committee headed by Malam Hamza Abubakar.

A total of 68 communities consisting of 21,075 households will benefit with a total of 3900 bags of Maize.

According the chairman, the beneficiaries cut across religious devices as instructed by the donor Abdulaziz Yari Abubakar.

According to the committee Chairman, former Governor Yari has considered the social condition of the people emanating from the removal of fuel subsidy by the current administration.

He assured that, the committee will be just and fair in the discharge of their duties.

He called on people to give them maximum support and cooperation in the discharged of their duty in order to achieve the desire success.

(31) PEOPLE DIES, (274) SUSTAIN INJURIES IN ADAMAWA ROAD CRASHES.

The Federal Road Safety Corp Adamawa state command has revealed that a total of (31) people died as a result of various road crashes within the state.

The statistics also showed that, a total of (274) people also sustained various degree of injuries as a result of the road crashes.

The Adamawa sector command also recorded (126) various road crashes involving (548) passengers within the period under review.

The statistics covered a period of January to July 2023.

The sector commandant of the state, Mr. Yelwa Dio when he interacted with the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN).

He attributed the road crashes to over-loading, over speeding and making telephone calls while driving.
