A conglomeration of Islamic scholars in Kano has explained that it has reconciled the state governor Abba Kabir Yusuf with the Hisbah Commandant Sheikh Aminu Ibrahim Daurawa over misunderstanding that engulfed them.
The meeting for the reconciliation took place on Monday at the state government house Kano.
After a joint meeting at the state government house in Kano the secretary of the conglomeration of the Ulama Dr. said Ahmed Dukawa said their intervention was imperative considering the calls by concern stakeholders from within and outside the country.
He said based on the resolution reached the stepping aside of the Hisbah Commandant Mal. Aminu Daurawa has become null and void.
“With the resolution reached, Daurawa has resumed as Hisbah Commandant for Kano State with immediate effect”.
It could be recalled that Malam Aminu Daurawa announced his stepping aside after Abba Kabir Yusuf the Kano Governor criticized the method of some Hisbah operatives.
The comment by Governor Yusuf and subsequent announcement of the resignation of Malam Daurawa had generated mixed reactions by the concern stakeholders who took to their jumuat prayer grounds and other media platforms to challenge the comments made against the operation of the Hisbah by the Governor.
