Some suspected Boko Haram insurgents have allegedly set ablaze some houses constructed for the Internally Displaced Persons at Dikwa local government area of Borno State.
The insurgents entered Gajibo village in Dikwa and started shooting sporadically before they set ablaze the 25 units of houses constructed for the IDP’s.
Last week, Sunday, same suspected Boko Haram insurgents abducted over (100) innocent individuals at Ngala in same Borno local government area.
Among those abducted include, (53) women and (48) youths,
A traveler named Modu Kunduri who was traveling to Maiduguri from Gomboru told newsmen that, the soldiers stopped travelers at a village called Logomani for almost three hours before they allow them access to the road.
He confirmed that he saw with his eyes 25 out of the houses built for the IDP burning on fire.
Another eyewitness Sheriff Lawan who resides in Dikwa confirmed the incident to the newsmen and states that, the insurgents detonate some explosive devices that later explodes into some parts of the housing estate.
