Justice Hauwau Lawal Gummi is among the 12 newly appointed justices of the FCT High Court inaugurated by the Chief Justice of Nigeria (CJN) at the main courtroom of the Supreme Court on Wednesday.
The inauguration of the 12 justices has brought the number of the FCT judges to (57).
Mrs Gummi is a daughter of the former FCT Chief Judge Justice Lawal Gummi who is currently the Emir of Gummi a first class emirate in Zamfara state.
Her inauguration was conducted alongside that of Justice Abdul Aziz MZ Anka who was elevated to the rank of Justice of the Court of Appeal same day.
Among those FCT High Court justices include Justice Buetnaan Mandy, Bassi from Plateau State; Ademuyiwa Olakunle Oyeyipo from Kwara State; Bamodu Odunayo Olutomi from Lagos State; Iheabunike Anumaenwe Godwin from Imo State; Odo and Celestine Obinna from Enugu State;
