A chieftain of All Progressive Congress in Zamfara Comr. Yusuf Alhassan Kanoma has declared that, President Bola Ahmad Tinubu and indeed the APC is not fair to the party supporters in Zamfara.
Comr. Kanoma who stated this in an audio interview he has done with Kaduna State Media Corporation and personally sent to this medium, insisted that despite the effort made in securing massive votes for Tinubu, the President has not adequately compensated his supporters in the state.
He explained that despite the successes recorded by President Bola Tinubu, Zamfara state was only given an allocation of Minister of State while states like Kano where Tinubu did not win were allocated two ministerial positions.
He also stated that same Kano state was allocated a post National Chairman of the party as well as Deputy President of the Senate while Kaduna which did not produce massive votes for the President like that of Zamfara was allocated a senior Minister and Speaker of the Federal House of Representatives.
On why Minister Bello Matawalle and Abdulaziz Yari could not push for more federal appointments for Zamfara APC supporters Kanoma insisted that, their closeness to the seat of power has not added any benefit to the Zamfara APC supporters since no sensitive appointment has been allocated to Zamfara state.
“Any sensitive appointment that is allocated for the North-West you will find that it will either be taken to Kano, Kaduna, Kebbi or Sokoto and Zamfara state has been badly neglected in the share of the Federal appointment.
Kanoma explained that all the appointments given to Zamfara were those that are considered statutory that even states where Tinubu did not win must be given such allocation because they are “statutory ones”
He Explained further that, if the situation continues APC will continue to wallow into serious crises adding that it may further split into more than (13) factions.
Kanoma insisted that, if APC National is not interested in Zamfara APC the party should state it’s position so that members may decide their fate.
He insisted that APC may not win a future election if these inconsistencies are not addressed.
