The All Progressives Congress (APC) Secretariat in Port Harcourt, Rivers State, which is situated along the bushy Aba Road, has been shaken by explosions. The explosions caused significant damage to the building and surrounding area, with reports of injuries to individuals nearby. Authorities are currently investigating the incident to determine the cause and those responsible for the attack.
Information surfaced that the bombs, thought to be dynamites, destroyed property and structures in the secretariat, spreading fear in the surrounding area.
According to reports, the explosion toppled the secretariat’s gate, smashing windows and doors among other items.
The event took place on the day set aside for the contentious State local government elections.
It was discovered that this was the second time the APC, led by Chief Tony Okocha, had encountered an incident of this nature at its secretariat.
