The Principal of Government Day Secondary School Sambo in Gusau has won the 2024 Presidential Teacher’s Award.
It could be recalled that October 5th every year is set aside as is World Teachers’ Day, and it was designated by UNESCO in 1994 to recognize and appreciate the contribution of teachers in nation building.
The Federal government of Nigeria organizes teacher award day simply to provide gifts and awards as part of the effort to encourage teachers in the discharge of their statutory responsibility.
The 2024 teachers award winners winning day took place at Eagle Square, Abuja and chaired by Secretary to the State Government Sen. George Akume.
Malam Musa Yahaya Paila the Principal of Government Day Secondary School Gusau emerged as the best teacher of the year.
He was presented with a medal award and a brand-new car.
