The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has suspended its National Publicity Secretary, Debo Ologunagba, and National Legal Adviser, Kamaldeen Ajibade, due to internal crises since 2023. Ologunagba and Ajibade are urging the National Chairman, Umar Damagum, to uphold the party’s constitution in daily operations.
In a statement released early on Friday, PDP National Director of Publicity Chinwe Nnorom said that the party has formed a committee under the direction of Deputy National Chairman (South) Taofeek Arapaja to look into the allegations made against the officers in line with the party’s constitution.
The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has ordered the resignation of its National Legal Adviser and National Publicity Secretary, Kamaldeen Adeyemi Ajibade and Hon. Debo Ologunagba, following its 593rd Meeting on October 10, 2024. The NWC constituted a committee chaired by Deputy National Chairman (South) H.E. Amb. Taofeek Arapaja to investigate the issues raised against the officers. Following the decision, their respective deputies (DNPS and DNLA) were directed to assume office in acting capacity from October 11, 2014, pending the conclusion of the investigation. The NWC urged all leaders, stakeholders, members, and supporters to remain focused and committed as it manages the PDP’s day-to-day affairs for its greater good.
