Member representing Maru and Bungudu Federal Constituency at the Federal House of Reps Abdulmalik Zubairu Zannan Bungudu has lamented that armed bandits have invaded Maru more than sixty times without the authorities paying a condolence visit to commiserate with the families of the victims.
Zannan dropped the lamentations during a grand rally in Maru on Saturday.
The lawmaker stated that he has visited Maru several times in two years simply to commiserate with the victims of armed bandit attacks.
He stated that, the grand rally organized by him in Maru on Saturday was to provide support and assistance on over twenty different small-scale businesses to (3,290) Zamfara indigenes.
The lawmaker further stated that, the grand rally organized by him was legitimate; hence he has formally notified all relevant government authorities.
He said those in the position of authority should either respect the constitution and the rule of law or else he will not listen to them again.
Zanna insisted that he will continue to provide grant and support to party members occasionally.
He described All Progressive Congress as peace-loving party noting that its members would never scout for violence but will resist any attempt to cause embarrassment on their party.
Zanna thanked Senator Yai and Bello Muhammad Matawalle for their tireless support and encouragement on him at all time.
He lamented the attack allegedly launched against some APC supporters who were billed to attend the organized rally along Gusau-Bungudu road and cautioned the perpetrators against escalating the situation.
