The leadership of the Students’ Union Government (SUG), Federal University Birnin Kebbi, led by its President, Comrade Suffiyanu Dan Gindi, paid a courtesy visit to Senator Adamu Aliero and Senator Yahaya Abdullahi at the National Assembly complex Abuja.
During the meeting, leadership expressed deep appreciation to the Senators’ contributions to the contribution made by the two distinguished senators toward the development of the university, particularly in the area of Infrastructure.
He also used the opportunity to advocate for the construction of additional hostels, toilets, and solar-powered boreholes to improve student welfare in campus.
Furthermore, he emphasized the importance of providing opportunities for students to engage in national legislative processes, as demonstrated by their presence at the Senate plenary session.
In their response, the Senators warmly welcomed the delegation and acknowledged their efforts at boasting the morale of their members toward educational development.
They assured the students that their requests would be accorded the attention they deserved, adding that while they had already made significant contributions to the university, they preferred to let their actions speak for themselves.
They further assured the delegation that more emphasis would be placed on building female hostels within the school premises to enhance their security and safety.
