Zamfara State government has sent in a powerful delegation to pay a sympathy visit to the victims of armed bandit attacks in Anka local government.
The delegation was led by Zamfara State Deputy Governor Mal. Mani Malam Mumumuni, Secretary to the State Government, Chief of staff to the Governor, Commissioners among other top government officials.
The Deputy Governor, who expressed sadness about the incident assured that Governor Lawal remains resolute to making sure that peace has returned to the state.
He assured that the administration of Dauda Lawql will work harder to ensure that armed banditry and armed bandits’ criminality has ended.
He also prayed that those supporting the armed bandit criminalities shall be dealt with by God almighty.
It could be recalled that, some suspected armed bandits laid ambush on some members of Community Protection Guards where
Scores of CPG operatives were killed.
One of the victims of the ambush that is currently hospitalized informed newsmen that over (40) armed bandits were killed during the encounter that took place at Bagega.
Emir of Zamfaran Anka Alh Attahiru Muhammqd Ahmad said the strategy of hit run which is adopted by the bandits is a clear indicator that their days are numbered.
Sarkin Kiyawan Adafka who was also visited by the delegation said, lack of accessible road is one of the factors that influence the success of most of the operations by the bandits in the area.
