Governor of Zamfara state Dauda Lawal has extended his lamentations by telling Arise TV that he took over the leadership of Zamfara State when civil servants were paid, N7000 as minimum wage.
The Governor, who stated that the figure was across all levels of state and local governments, noted that he has deployed some miracles to jack the salary up to the approved N30,000 minimum wages.
He also said when he came on board, state pensioners were not paid their retirement entitlements which runs up to N16.5B nothing that such he has settled as at last month.
He noted after doing all these, he was able to implement the N70,000 minimum wages for the state and local government workers.
